My Top Travel Tours with Leger Holidays

Another financial year has begun, the weather is shifting seasons, and you are ready for a holiday. Where do you want to go? What kind of experience do you want to have? Are you travelling alone, or with your partner, or with friends? Maybe you want to learn something, see something, tick something off your Bucket List? Or maybe you just want to be able to wear sandals for once.

Holidays are an opportunity to escape our daily routines, to feel refreshed by new experiences, to be ourselves – or become someone new. Over the past five years, I’ve had the privilege of travelling across Europe to some of the world’s most incredible locations – and I did it alone, with a tour company, on a coach. From the stunning Parliament building in Hungary’s capital, to ancient ruins preserved in ash, the planet really is your oyster. It’s time to explore.

All the following tours are from Leger Holidays, a coach company who pretty much cover the globe with escorted tours for every type of traveller. As a flight-phobic solo female, I loved the long drives through incredible countries and continents, having the reassurance of experienced tour guides, and the company of new travellers from all walks of life. Here’s my top three of their tours – click the links for my full reviews on Leger’s blog.

1. Rome, Pompeii, Sorrento & Picturesque Capri
This was my first holiday abroad on my own, travelling through the night to reach our base in Fiuggi before spending three days exploring some incredible locations. If you love epic history, impressive monuments, sun, sea, and seriously good gelato, then this is the tour for you. Find out more.

2. Italian Süd Tirol & the Dolomites
In contrast to my whirlwind Italian adventure, this expedition was all about relaxation and rejuvenation. The snow-topped mountains of the Dolomites were breathtaking, and with visits to Venice and Lake Garda it truly was the perfect getaway. Find out more.

3. Imperial Capitals – Prague, Vienna and Budapest
Three incredible destinations all in one holiday – it really was the trip of a lifetime, with each city having its own unique character and hidden gems to discover. You’ll have to get to grips with multiple currencies, strikingly different languages, and a LOT of time on a coach, but if you’re looking for adventure then this is the tour for you. Find out more.
